MAJOR DEVELOPMENT BREAKTHROUGH - UPDATE

We've made significant progress and have achieved a world first - a low pressure, fast response, low cost and reliable 100% hydrogen fueled genset. The core R&D is finished and our Electricity as a Service solution is largely de-risked.

We're ready to go to the next stage - full system performance and reliability testing, followed by a full commercial 250kW pilot with a miner in Queensland. Exciting times ahead!

FOR REMOTE COMMUNITIES & BUSINESSES

We will supply zero carbon electricity on demand

We will supply zero carbon electricity for off-grid areas on demand, and at a lower cost than diesel generators or other zero carbon systems.

We produce energy at your site - no fuel is trucked in. You will save on transport cost and risk, and you are never cut off from your own power.

We have developed a hydrogen-fuelled generator and are currently establishing a pilot system to prove commercial viability.

Clean Power

The Hydrogenus
Integrated
Energy Management System

The Hydrogenus Energy system stores excess renewable energy by using solar/wind powered electrolysis of water to produce hydrogen.  The hydrogen is used in a Hydrogenus Energy modified engine to produce electricity on demand when not enough is produced by the sun and/or wind.

REMOTE AREAS

Fringe of Grid & Off Grid Areas

Australia’s main energy markets comprise of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and South West Interconnected System (SWIS).

Fringe-of-grid encompasses areas in the NEM and SWIS that are remote and have a relatively high likelihood of supply reliability or power quality issues.

Off-grid comprises of isolated or islanded electricity systems that are not connected to the NEM or SWIS.

REMOTE AREAS

The Hydrogenus Energy System

For most of the Australian land mass, electricity produced by photovoltaic arrays (i.e., solar power) is the cheapest electricity.  However, it only provides electricity when the sun is shining; not whenever we want it.

In some areas wind turbines may be cheaper, but for much of Australia wind is a good complement to solar, with good breeze early in the day before the sun rises, and later when the sun is setting.

While this combination gives a better supply, it still does not give us electricity anytime we want it.

To supply electricity when we need it, we need to produce more when we can and store it for when we do not get enough sun and/or wind.

The Hydrogenus Energy system is the cheapest way to do this - much cheaper than batteries.

The Hydrogenus Energy system works best for demands between 250kW to 10mW.

Burns Hydrogen to Generate Electricity

The time is right to tap into hydrogen's potential to play a key role in a clean, secure and affordable energy future.

The Australian Government is investing $1.4 billion in building a hydrogen industry. Australia’s National Hydrogen Strategy is a plan to grow this industry and position Australia as a major player by 2030. The State of Hydrogen 2021 report provides an update of our progress so far.
Australian Government
Hydrogen produced using renewable energy would help lower Australia’s emissions, drive a booming export industry, and help replace fossil fuels in energy-intensive sectors like steel-making and transport.
